The Mercy Train

I vividly recall the day I learned how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I was living in Columbus, Ohio, working as a journalist, and a kindly couple from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania gave me a quick tutorial.

Ever since that day so long ago, I have been devoted to the Chaplet and to the concept of Divine Mercy. I don't know where I would be today had it not been for the showering of Christ's Mercy upon me.

So I was so excited to learn of the new book, Get on Board the "Mercy Train." The book consists primarily of the reflections of the late Therese Tirpak, as edited by her son Tom. Therese considered herself a secretary to the Secretary of Divine Mercy, Saint Faustina. And what a devoted secretary she was!

In this fascinating work, Therese shares story after story of Divine Mercy at work. Her commitment to spreading the message of this devotion was indeed extraordinary. I wish I could have met her and experienced her zeal first-hand.

What I found most striking about the book is how one individual can affect so many lives, simply by being open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Therese was, in effect, an ambassador of mercy, and her commitment brought joy to so many people.

I highly recommend Get on Board the "Mercy Train" to accelerate your own spiritual life and evangelization efforts. You may just be amazed at what you can accomplish with Jesus at your side.
