Forgiving the Unforgivable

I have admired author Jennifer Hubbard's skill as a writer for a long time. I followed with interest her reflections in the prayer companion known as Magnificat. She has a powerful, striking voice which she uses to glorify God.
In her latest work, Forgiving the Unforgivable, published by Marian Press, Jennifer offers insights into the art and work of forgiveness. Jennifer is the mother of a Sandy Hook shooting victim, and she knows well the unspeakable pain of suffering the heaviest of crosses.
The fact of the matter is that, if Jennifer can forgive her daughter's killer, who am I to withhold forgiveness from anyone?
A lack of forgiveness and mercy plagues our modern world. So many of us are holding grudges over the slightest of slights. Jennifer offers a different path--one that promises peace of heart and solace of soul.
Yes, I admire Jennifer as a writer, but I admire her even more as a mother. Our daughters share the same birth date--June 8th. From now on, when I celebrate the wondrous miracle of my daughter's birth, I will also remember Jennifer's loss and offer a silent prayer of remembrance for her brave girl.
