I had the opportunity once to visit Knock
in County Mayo, Ireland. I was struck by the fact that I felt as if I were walking on hallowed ground. I could feel the sanctity of the place and became fascinated with the vision of Our Lady which had occurred there.
I wish I had known about the apparition when I was a child. Children today will have the opportunity to learn about this amazing phenomenon, thanks to a new book by Marian Press, The Lamb of God: The Story of Our Lady of Knock https://shopmercy.org/the-lamb-of-god-the-story-of-our-lady-of-knock.html.
Fr. Donald H. Calloway, MIC and Patrick O'Hearn have teamed up to create a children's book which delights as well as informs. This captivating book tells the story of the apparition in a straight forward, accessible way. The plot is greatly complemented by the stirring illustrations of Ann Kissane Engelhart.
I am eager to share this impressive work with the young readers in my life. I hope you will too. For the more we share the incredible appearances of Our Lady, the more faith will grow.
