A Place to Belong: Letters from Catholic Women is a truly remarkable book. It is a compendium of wisdom, drawn from the feminine genius of amazingly gifted Catholic women.
Editor Corynne Staresinic has done a fabulous job of weaving together letters from women from all walks of life. Each letter is accompanied by a thought-provoking reflection question and prayer.
I was especially captivated by a letter entitled "Protecting the Vulnerable," Writer Lauren Costabile is masterful in describing the special gift that people with Down syndrome represent. As Lauren eloquently writes, "I see the face of God in every person I meet with Down syndrome, but it's particularly true with my friend Judy. She is one of the most beautiful people I've ever known."
A Place to Belong is a lovely book which would make a great gift for a Catholic woman in search of inspiration and solace. It speaks to the heart of women, while being true to the Catholic faith.
